How to Set Up OpenAI Models in WatchWolf

Step 1: Create an OpenAI API Key

1. Sign In to OpenAI DashboardVisit the OpenAI API Keys page at https://platform.openai.com/api-keys and sign in to your OpenAI account.

2. Generate a New API Key

   • Click on "Create new secret key".

   • Copy the API Key: A dialog box will display your new API key. Copy it now, as you won't be able to view it again later.

     
     

Step 2: Add the API Key to WatchWolf

1. Open Models ManagementIn the WatchWolf app, navigate to Manage > Models.

2. Add a New Model

   • Click on the "+" icon at the top of the screen to add a new model.

3. Enter API Key and Select Model

   • API Key: Paste the OpenAI API key you copied earlier into the API Key field.

   • Select Model: Choose the OpenAI model you want to use from the dropdown menu (e.g., GPT-3.5, GPT-4, GPT-4o).

Step 3: Set the Model as Default

1. Enable Default Option

   • Toggle the "Default" option to set this model as the default for AI features within WatchWolf.

2. Save the Model Configuration

   • Click on "Save" or "Add" to confirm and save your new model settings.

Note: Only the model set as Default will be used for AI features like terminal command generation, snippets generation, and metrics analysis. Make sure to enable the Default option for the model you wish to use for these functionalities.
